Firm but fair is the perfect description of Ms Downs, you learn more to respect this as you go through the years at NGHS. She keeps everything in order!
Ms Downs looking back 15 years ago now was firm but fair. The trap with Napier Girls High is that if you fall off the wagon, they make it hard for you to get back on. They find it hard to accept teenagers can make mistakes and can get back on track and do well. You are best to leave and go to another school if you "stuff up" because they don't forget those in a hurry. Ms Downs was my dean and she did find the time to understand me. I would love to see Ms Downs Principal of the school.
Love hate relationship kinda teacher. But in the end I came to like her she was pretty good! Except one little obstacle which meant I didnt like many senior staff members...
She was great when i was at Girls high. Was the only teacher that wanted to go on hockey tournament with us. Without her we wouldn't have been able to go.
Ive never had her as a teacher... But shes really quite relaxed, isnt she... Well, she was with Ms Hague.
Fantasic history teacher when I went to NGHS. I've always remembered her saying...organisation is the key to success...and have lived by it ever since...I'm now 28!!
