very good teacher (he's teaching qmc now) very fun and i learn a lot, he gives us easy and fun homework
he's SOO relaxed and explains things so clearly and his classes are fun
Hawley is both a good guy and a very good physics teacher, those who have given him bad reviews / feedback are annoying little fifth formers and simply are not use to his 'common sense work it out for your self teaching method'.
Rob Hawley is a great teacher and very open-minded. He puts his opinions out there and lets you challenge them without fear of reprisal, knowing that if he treats you with respect we'll respect him. Awesome teacher.
has no regard for students learnin. He has a 'learn what you will' approach & is afraid of helpin. Recntly he left our class for 2 weeks. We are left 2 learn the difficult topic of momentum by ourselves. Not sursprised at all by his neo-hippy ways
Clearly has a chip on his shoulder, although I don't know what it is. A hatred of NCEA perhaps? Doesn't put enough effort in, thinks he's quite the philosopher, but isn't. Does know his subject though.
how physics should be taught, and only to scholarship students:>
Hawley is by far the best science teacher at the school. He knows exactly how to teach students and posseses a wealth of knowledge. Hawley's loose attitude towards learning is that of if a student doesnt want to learn he wont be taught. Its excellent
