Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. English is a challenging subject which many must take as it is mandatory until year 12. She is a passionate teacher who is clearly knowledgeable in what she teaches. Perfect for students who want to do well but not so much for those who do not try in her class- have noticed students who do not care about school can be cruel towards her but I thoroughly enjoyed her as a teacher. Provided fast and helpful feedback. Couldn't recommend more!
She is a completely useless teacher who doesn't care for her students and shows no trust or belief in them. Also she makes no effort to help them. She speaks with a monotone which makes it very difficult to pay attention in class and she doesn't work with the students to teach them. She is by far the worst teacher I have had in my entire life, because of the fact that she doesn't show any care or interest in teaching students and doesn't attempt to help them in any way.
She said like a lovely person who is passionate about English, however she isn't very good with her teaching style and her order of teaching. I had a really confused year with limited helpful feedback impacting on my grade.
She thinks that girls can write a 5 paragraph essay in under 500 words. She does not trust us to write what we want and she does not want to hear our opinion at all.
Mrs Pepper had her own way of teaching and in life what I think other students forget, is we won't get along with everyone. I personally enjoyed her as a teacher and while I do think she could work on making classes more interesting, I thought she was a good enough teacher.
She is one of those teachers where if you want to get excellence you have to write exactly what she says, there is no room for your interpretation of a novel or film. Does she have direct contact with the author or something? I've had her as a teacher twice and was reminded why I hated english back then.
she is a awesome teacher who always listens to you. she helped me heaps and i did really well in the english exams!
Mrs Pepper squashed my individuality as a student of english. She re-wrote my essay from a negative viewpoint to positive in the extreme. She was abominably strict & was not encouraging of some pupils.
I have her at the moment, and I have to say, she makes me want to move classes. She tells you everythings going really well, until you get the mark back and its an achieved! She's reaally strict too!
Wow. Mrs Pepper actually UNinspired me - she was the worst teacher I had in my entire schooling. I didn't learn anything, and felt patronised in her class. She must have been on this site and checked out her feedback, and improved her teaching as a result, because there's no way anyone from my English class would have anything nice to say.
omg she is cool i have her for year 12 and she is so lovely! the notes are great and she gives you extra help if you ask her. shes always smiling and nevers yell. btw she hardly gives us homework so i don;t kno what your on about?
Pepper was my teacher in 4th form and a term in 5th, thought she was strict and made us work hard, but it payed off in the end, she doesn't do it for nothing. Thought she was mean but now i miss her :)
shes a good teacher, im currently passing english which is good for me. I dont know what youre all complaining about! shes awesome!
I think she is really nice and a great teacher. She can sometimes be a little harsh.
