It's been just over 30 years since I first sat in class with Lou Barrowman - he was a new teacher back then - for French and Japanese. He shared the culture and history as well as the language which I think really helped to foster my love of languages to this day. Hope he is still at TGS in 2 years to teach my kids too!
He's ok but half the time I can't hear what he's saying and I wish he'd go slower in class. I can't understand much but he seems to think I know more than I do. Nice guy, he's really funny if you list
The best teacher I ever had! It was in his class that I developed a love of language. My German and Japanese skills have served me well over the years.
AWESOME teacher! Except he sometimes falls asleep in class...
25 Years later German people are still complimenting me on the accent I acquired in this man's class. He made me love all languages, not just the ones he taught me.
Mr. Barrowman was the best teacher I ever had. He is so talented and has a wonderful manner. After all these years, I still think of him as a huge inspiration. :0)
I had him in third through fifth for for German (yep, that was a few years ago) and he was a great teacher. I'm now at uni in New York and am taking German, thanks to him!
He was my Spanish teacher in Year 11. He's a cool teacher but my class was boring. I think for the 1st time in my Taka years, he actually wanted my class to be more livelier and noisier.
Great teacher - quiet but funny - being busted by deputy principal teaching us swear words was amusing!
Really good with langauges, I think he knows about 7. My Jap class in year 9 was really good, but last year was way too boring. To quiet and needs to make classes more interactive. But a good teacher!
Awesome teacher, very calm and nice and has a great personality. It's amazing how he can speak so many languages.
I remember when we were in Japan he once told me i needed shock treatment on my brain. Best language teacher though, wish i hadn't dropped langauge.
Very nice- but the class is a bit too quiet and boring with him. Tries to show his sense of humour though. Very knowledgeable.
