Constantly making unfair comments, unneccisairily strict, teaches to fast, whats there to like?
I do not like mr. Vecauterens style of teaching. he syas frecuently " i don't want anybody to be left behind" yet i feel i am being left behind. it is probably not his fault but it feels that way.
Probably the best teacher I had at Wellington College. Made us all work very hard, and had an awesome pass rate. I can still speak French many years on thanks to Mr Vercauteren.
We never found out why bananas are bent either. I guess I didn't collect enough pearls of wisdom. The lessons on German culture were great, though, especially the video he brought in one day of the top Bundesliga goals for the season :-)
A man with no time for political correctness or sissygirls who can't handle some good natured insults. Solid teacher, fluent in like, seventeen languages, although had a tendency to force people to speak in front of the class and then lambast them for their failures. The classes were always 50/50 abject fear or utter hilarity and you were only a 'young scholar' until your next mistake. Never did find out why bananas were bent.
Had Jacques for 5 years. He is strict, often grumpy and tends to pick on everyone in class (even the know-it-all nerds), but I could'nt help but like the guy. He has some great phrases and stories. Great teacher. Legend.
great teacher as long as your not the one that he picks on. hes just so much fun and whilst sometimes you end up doing nothing he always makes his lessons enjoyable
I look back on my days with Vaccaz with fond memories, but i was lucky not to be picked on. i dont know where he came up with such brilliant phrases but who cares that he's a shabby teacher, he's just so entertaining!
Good french teacher. Funny when your not being picked on.
gud man very strict. favoures "eh, wats all this", big german fan. doesnt remember peoples names
great teacher. every1 in my class dont like him but i think he is a great teacher and deserves more R.E.S.P.E.C.T from his french class. GO GERMAN
Quite strict but overall great. I love his way of calling people's last name too, for example putting "Young" in front of their last name. You might not like him the first time you meet him, but trust me, you haven't known anything about 'im yet.
Love the way he calls guys by their last name. Classic old school teacher. Priceless
I found him a woeful teacher, who constantly mocked my for my weight. "Too much Kaffee und Kuchen!". Bit of an overdose on the "bitte"
Thinks everybody is a passenger in his class but other that that he is a good teacher.
Good guy. Absolutely hilarious. Sounds like he was a good soccer player in his day. "You like Fred Dagg!" "Wellington Girls is over there!"
Love this man. Hilarious in class, so long as you're not the fool that he picks on the whole year. "You're a seagull in this class!"
Hilarious and scary at the same time. Introduced me to Maxime le Forestier. Truly his own man.
Great guy, who helps out you as a student always. Who better to teach French than a Belgium? He has great english and is extremely patient.
pasionate teacher with a vast knowledge of his subject. Alex thinks he is a great teacher
He's awesome!! Sometimes you need someone to discipline you.
Very old school, can be hillarious on a good day, or alternatively a real hard liner. The most un pc teacher out, would give Mr. Gormsby a run for his money. Love his work style.
