Mrs. Given has good intentions but when you have a question she actually solves it for you instead of explaining you how to do it. Spent the whole year figuring out maths by myself.
Mean and even after a year still didn't know my name
Mrs Given struggled a bit with our class this year and it's obvious to me that a lot of the students didn't learn much from her teaching, including myself. She was hard to communicate with due to her saliva gland problem and her poor hearing. She did know her maths though and she really did try to help and offered all the support she could, it was just her teaching style didn't click with many people.
I passed Statistics so I must conclude that she is a good Teacher, and as long as you actually do the work, she'll treat you just fine.
What a feeling.
a little bit hard of hearing, but she knows her maths
Had her as form teacher in Year 9. Deafness made roll call, um, interesting.
she is a great maths teacher. learnt lots. quite religious and thats sweet.
she doesnt teach me anything but she is my form teacher she is stern but brilliant!!!
great teacher!!!! "get a bomb under you sir!!!" stern, but kind. doesnt put up with laziness."idle hands are the devils playthings" never knew what a cherub was before i met her. now i do! Brilliant!!
bless you mrs given. bless you bless you bless you. you are cool!
mrs given has always stunned me with quotes such as "stop fluffing around", "the factorrrzzzz are ..." and "there are lies, there are damn lies and than there are statistics!" possibly one quote that will always stick in my head, and that every1 that has ever had her can recyte! an interestin teacher, sometimes starting the class with a problem on the board "to warm up our brains". often picks on students for no apparent reason, e.g. tells someone to keep quiete just cos they are likely to have been talking
Mrs Given is one of the best teachers i have had. She is very willing to help and has a kind soul. Bless you Mrs Given.
