Worst Japanese teacher I've ever had. She expected us to understand most things she said, even when we'd only just begun learning it, and didn't appear to have any enthusiasm for the class. I can understand why the class size got significantly smaller over the years. I only stayed learning Japanese for the trip to Japan, and my Japanese was a total flop there because she hadn't taught me well enough.
Miss Howat is a brilliant teacher - even though she's been on maternity leave for the last term - and I think she should teach Japanese for as long as possible so that she can help other kids in the way that she's helped me.
Nice, NEEDS to stop talking randomly in jap, we have no idea what she's on about! Then she expects us to understand it and reply or something, wth? Maybe if she spent a lil more time on important thin
Ms howat is awesome!!!! She is the best teacher in the world go sensei howat !! Woop woop
Expects everyone to be really good at japanese and learn straight away. Got totally lost halfway through the term when she moved on to a whole different alphabet
I'm giving up japanese because of her - my mum doesn't want me to go on the Japan trip with her next year cuz she is such a loose cannon. Didn't turn up to class cuz of a migraine, so had not teacher!
Not a bad person, but teaching well... Not too confident. Relies on the book too much. Not bad for higher students who can work independently and just put their heads down otherwise no.
Good japanese teacher I learnt the whole Hiragana well and it's cool...
I have lost my love for learning Japanese because of this woman.
She's not a bad person but I dont feel my Japanese really improved under her
Act like an adult and start treating students like adults. Stop criticising us and give some encouragement! Prepare your lessons and stop apologising. Be consistent! We have exams soon!
She is a very undesirable teacher in Japanese - it would be better if she taught Maths or something, or not at all.
