He is perfectly good at teaching chemistry, and uses the whiteboard to explain a lot. Occasionally he goes further, and touches upon the next year levels work to extend our knowledge. He teaches things at least twice, so if you complain that he hasn't taught you anything it is because you were destined to fail because all you do is talk and disrupt your own learning - don't complain that he isn't teaching because you can't be bothered listening. He does provide help when you ask for it.

I think Mr Drybourgh needs to work on clarity as he expects his students to know stuff that they don't know. He may excel in chemistry but need to work harder in terms of teaching.

I was crap at chemistry and hated the subject but always looked forward to coming to Drybourgh's classes cos he's a great character and a funny guy. His teaching methods are quite effective.

Can be scary but has an excellent sense of humour and got me through bursary chemistry. I tried to incorperate some of his techniques into the lessons I taught as a science teacher.
