She seriously talks for way too long. Multiple times she left us with inadequate time to complete work. She also tends to repeat information she's already told us and wastes time (up to 15 minutes usually). I realize that she can't really help it, but her voice and the way she speaks is boring, monotonous and hard to pay attention to often.
Very good teacher but it requires a lot of focus to understand what she is saying. However she is always willing to give extra help if you ask for it.
She sometimes spaces out, and gets confused often. Otherwise she is a middle of the road teacher compared to other teachers I've had.
She is a great maths teacher, she gives better work than Ms Kehela, you go Ms Weston.
Kind of confusing, I used to think she wasn't a very good teacher but then she left and the teacher I have now has proven that in fact Ms Weston was a very good teacher.
She talks like she's asking a question all the time and it makes you wonder if she's even sure what she is saying!!! Very confusing and doesn't take the time to make sure people in her class actually understand what they have to do!
Lacking enthusiasm in teaching, she can become very difficult and strict with out any notice or reason. My least favorite teacher I've ever had. Her mind is absolutely dedicated that students don't miss out on maths, this can make her very stroppy and hard to deal with. She does know her stuff though
The most help she was for me all year was when she was reading straight out of the textbook. With the constant mistakes she'll make within a single lesson, I have to question her maths ability too.
Great at explaining, expects alot, a bit pissy at times, but good at maths teaching. Hope she's good for calc.
i think shes great. i've had her for 2 years. she has a great sense of humour, but if ur late u r not likely to be let in for at least 15 minutes, doesnt like her flow disrupted. gives very good notes
I have been in Ms Weston's class for 2 years as both a junior and a senior and I have observed how she deals with intellectual students and lazy or loud students. She expects you do get the best results possible. I think that she should reprimand the people who are being lazy and loud. It is just a shame that they go to our school. I enjoy Maths, not because I am good at it, but because Ms Weston helps me get better marks than I would without her clear explanations, good classroom control and helpfulness!
She was my maths teacher for a term. She was fairly strict, made us write out the rules of writing in our books; Half margin, which pen to mark with and blah de blah. She's good at teaching, but can sometimes get angry that's all.
I have to disagree with the other comments. I did not find Ms. Weston particularly caring or helpful. I found she taught with a detachment that only comes when you're thinking of being elsewhere. She knows her maths alright, she just needs people skills and the right energy to brighten up her maths lessons. She tends to sigh and yell a lot. She needs to make jokes or laugh at the students sometimes. Above all, relax! RB.
Wicked teacher who really knows her stuff. Friendly and cares about the students.
